The Regal Centre built in 1934, formerly a 425-seater cinema, was purchased by the Town Council in 1975. It was converted to its present use between 1978 and 1982 and was officially opened in September 1980. The main hall, which houses 2 badminton courts, is approximately 66' x 40'. There is also a balcony that is used for a sitting out area and for serving refreshment.

Organised weekly club evenings take place - table tennis(01491 835122), copeira (01491 824537), line dancing(01491 825910) and short mat bowls (01491 839491). Over fifties badminton sessions are held on Monday afternoons(01491 651987), and badminton courts and table tennis can be hired during the day Monday - Friday (subject to availability).

The Regal Centre is also where the weekly Friday Country Market (WI), the weekly local producers market, the annual Blues and Beer Festival, the Victorian Evening (Charities Stalls) and several other social events take place.
